Membership

There are two grades of membership – Full and Student.

Full membership is available to established phoneticians and acousticians with operational and/or academic interests in forensic applications of phonetics or acoustics.

Student Membership is available to students undertaking a course in Higher Education in phonetics, acoustics or in a subject closely related to those disciplines.

Full membership includes, by default, an online subscription to the International Journal of Speech, Language and the Law; Student members can opt-in or out of this subscription.  All Members can upgrade this subscription to include a paper copy of the journal.

How to apply

Please apply by filling in the membership application form; you should contact your referees and ask them to provide a reference to iafpa@protonmail.com when you make your application (information on referee requirements is provided below).

You can email any enquiries to the Membership Secretary, Andrea Fröhlich – iafpa@protonmail.com – or simply include them in the form
